a quiet day, car wise.
not much happened today, had a staff meeting after work so late home...
finally got the sockets all on their rails (rails cut to legnth etc), i'm not 100% about how i have them organised but the only way to know for certain is to use it a bit. i so want to buy more/better tools for myself. the screwdrivers thati have are a mishmash of various old things that i pinched of my mother back in the day. mostly rounded off and mostly very beaten up. i new set would be nice. the majority of the other stuff is decent but not the screwdrivers.
while i was out in the shed i dug out some old volksworld mags hoping for some inspiration of some description. none has jumped out at me. i don't know if it is just my taste in cars or the cars themselves, but most of the cars i used to like still look good to me and a fair few of the ones i didn't are looking really dated now.
i have to say i'm not into narrowed front ends, i'm not that big a fan of the look, i don't want to go super low. a really low car would be virtually useless where i live. last but not least, why would you want to make your cars handling worse? no i never understood the idea of fitting a solid beam fornt axle, aka like a hotrod, onto a beetle. then again i don't get most volksrods either.
i also priced a part a friend wants plus a second avis adjuster to go with the one i bought years ago. i was told they came from the same manufacturer (not that they were the same, a good bit of sales talk there) only time will tell.
on 11 - 7 tomorrow so i will hopefully get a sleep in.
