Painting the roof of the razor

Thought i would share how the lacing the roof of the razor was done:

how to:

  1. mask up and cover the car & rub back the old paint & prep the roof ready for its new look.

2. Lay down a coat of spray filler & guide coat, then wet rub the roof nice and flat.

3. Apply the primer

4. Apply the base colour. For this job it was done in a three (3) stage process. 1) base black is applied 2) black with a Zerrelick pearl. Once the base colour is dry then masking and pin striping is mapped out in the desired patterns. Usually shapes that complement the body styling of the car are marked out on the area to be painted. 3) black with a course silver mica is applied and the paint is left to dry.

5. Then a sheet of lace material is stretched into place and then the highlight colour (custom candy apple red) is applied over the top. The lace is removed and the colour is allowed to dry

6. Remove the pin striping

7. Apply several coats of clear paint to seal in your handy work, wet rub & polish and grab your sunglasses.

8.  Enjoy your handy work , and be ready to answer ALOT of questions   heheheh

Top post mate. Would just like to add that the photos don't do this justice, it's looks even more awesome in the flesh, almost hologramatic (if that's a word - lol)

Will add this in to our article section for ya.
