To All VW Challengers

OK, speed freaks, it's time to get ready for the BEST standing mile/1.5-mile event in the country! We've been busy getting ready for the upcoming Mojave Mile AND Magnum combo event which will feature, for the first time, both 1-mile AND 1.5-mile tracks! Or, as a famous movie quote goes, "dogs and cats, living together, mass hysteria!"

Registration opens July 8, 2013

At this event, you will be able to choose between either distance, and you can switch from one distance to another whenever you choose! That's right -- run a mile, then run a 1.5, then back to a mile, your choice! We will offer 200 mph Club (and above) shirts for BOTH distances, so if you are a little short in the mile of your goal, switch to the longer course for that extra speed boost.

To make this all work, we will be using two separate Starting Lines and one Finish line. We will be running both distances all the time, and BJ, our "Grid Diva," will make sure everyone gets a fair shake at running in the order in which they present themselves at Grid.

Tech requirements for both distances remain the same as always -- you and your car/bike must meet the tech requirements for the speed you want to go, no matter what distance you are running. So, if you are a little too fast in the 1.5 mile course to stay within Tech (say, an A1 car exceeding 175 mph in a 1.5 mile), you can run the 1-mile length flat out and stay within your tech speed.

Marno and the Red House BBQ gang will again be there to serve us that delicious grub, and we will have the VP Fueler there for nearly every kind of race gas you might need.

Please help us out by forwarding/reposting this information to all of your racer friends, forums, and car clubs. We can't wait to see all of our old veterans again, and look forward to meeting a whole new crop of mile racers!

Mike, Keith, & Marsha

and the whole MKM Crew!!
