Got a call from the outlaws this morning to say that they had noticed some kind of VW meeting going on at Cross Roads bowling alley, so me and MelleMel decided to jump in the family wagon with little Locke (our newborn) and go take a look.
When we got there, there was no-one about, so I decided to snap a few shots and then carry on with our day. (Probably shopping for baby stuff of some kind)
After messing with the camera I noticed someone else taking pics, so decided to go and have a chat.
Turns out that the Volks Enthusiasts club were having a bowling match with the 'Holden Oldies' club. I was invited inside to meet the others and chat about VW stuff and Type 3 Ghias as one of the members had one. Got to say - a very friendly bunch - I really should take the time to join up and get involved with stuff like this more often - very family oriented which was great.
I also recognised Adam Debiassi, who said that there was a race meeting in a couple of weekends time - the club were also arranging a bit of a cruise up there too. Hopefully no work comes up on that date as I have promised I would go along.
Thanks to Tony for introducing me to the rest of the gang - and thanks to everyone I chatted to - Sorry iI can't remember everyones names - there was too many of you
- was great to meet some new vdubbers.
Here's some pics I snapped...
