A little update on Gretl
So, my pan halves rocked up the other day, I was over the moon. I spent a couple of hours outside so that was great. Was cleaning up the tunnel a bit more and then I got a little carried away on the body.
So I got it back to bare metal while hunting for rust. Didn't find any thankfully and then sealed it all with galv.
And here are the pan halves.
So excited. Going to keep the standard seat rails but just adapt the ones on the bottom of the current seats I have to use them with some Bride's I reckon.
Might spend some time this week rubbing back the rear guards so I can see how much I need to widen them. Also sorted out my brake setup for the moment, purchasing the setup I had on Zelda back. Exciting times ahead.
Now, on the weekend I went and spent some time at Mick's place learning how to TIG weld. Tonight, I spent some time practicing here at home.

Hey Seb, hows the new project?
Hey Mick, new project is going okay.i cleared the defect and have been driving it around quite a bit.
Got the front disc brake setup that I had on Zelda installed up front and am trying to organise to get the drum brake setup too.
She has epic flat spots throughout acceleration so I need to sort out a service and tune.
Cool, good news! Guess if there was anyone who could clear a defect it would be you
Looking forward to some pics Seb. About time you updated your blog eh
Now ain't that the truth!
I'll sort something out shortly, she's currently up on axle stands and receiving a VintageSpeed exhaust.
Might make a blog on here in regards to her one day.
I should have headed out to ParkPlatz on the weekend. I won't be able to attend the next one either as I'll be moving over to Melbourne.
Might have to pop around Saturday once I've done the rear brakes.
Cool. Been looking at those exhausts myself for the Type 34. Got an up and over one from CVD on it at the moment but it's just too noisy. Been well pleased with the Vintage Speed exhaust on the bus. Will have to take a look after you've fitted it.
Should be around all day Sat. Pop in for a coffee.
Exhaust is fitted and sounds beautiful. But she's got a few little issues going on which sucks but will hopefully have them resolved on Monday when she heads to GHR.
I'll see what I can do. I thought Phoebe was working tomorrow but she isn't. See what I can do though.
