as a beetle person, i find that really strange. an oval is a nice way to start though. such clean looks and simplicity, but not the stupid $ or difficulty of finding parts that you would have with a split.

Well, a bit disappointing - the moon discs were more like hubcaps - turns out they now do a push to fit version. No good for the salt unfortunately as they have to be positively fixed.Managed to find a place in the states that also does a deep dished version - http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Spun-Aluminum-Disc-Wheel-Covers,4637.html A lot cheaper than Outlaw speed shop, plus I can order 5 as one needs to be cut up for a template to make welding the Dzuz fastners easier.

Progress on the bug is good, the body is off the pan, and the rusted pan halves have been removed.
