We are in the process of updating the VDubber Facebook page and making it a bit more user friendly. To do this we really need to change from a community page to a group. Unfortunately Facebook make no provision for converting a page into a group which means that we are not able to migrate any users or content across. In short this means that we need to start again.

So whats the difference between a page and a group?

The community page that we currently have set up does not allow members to post directly to the timeline. Posts made by members appear in the 'posts to page' box to the left of the timeline which does not really make for a very dynamic experience. 

By changing to a group members can create and comment on posts directly in the groups timeline.

So what do I need to do?

All you need to do is join the following group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/vdubber/

Future updates to the old page will be stopped and posted to the new group instead.
